Cupcake Flags

Cupcake flags are the easiest way to personalise your cupcakes to suit any occasion. With some pretty papers, some toothpicks and a small amount of time to design your flags, you can have cupcakes topped to suit the theme of your party.

I spent some time this week making some pretty pink cupcake flags for our Girls Night In tea party this weekend.

Step 1.
Start with a template. I used Microsoft Word and inserted triangle shapes to create the outline for each flag. Add text to one side of each triangle and insert a logo or picture on the other side.

Step 2.
Print your template onto pretty paper. Don't use card as this will be too thick when you fold the flags.

Step 3.
Cut out each triangle pair just inside the line so that you can't see it on your final flag.

Step 4.
Score and fold along the middle line.

Step 5.
Apply glue to the whole back side of the triangles and fold around the toothpick. Ensure the sides of the triangles match up before holding in place.

The template above can be used to create your own cupcake flags. Save the image and print on A4 paper to achieve the correct size.
